Benefits of Health in Olympic Circles

The Benefits of Olympic Health

Ask any Olympic Athlete

You will hear that a healthy mind and body are extremely important variables in the odds of winning any competition, let alone Olympic competition. At Body and Soil Nutrition we offer a program we call “Olympic Health” which is designed specifically with individuality in mind. No two competitors have the same health needs and neither do you. So why would you follow a health plan designed for someone else? I don’t know either.

Consider Individuality in Health

It’s easy to see that individuality is so prevalent in the world of natural health. 1000’s of books have been written by a multitude of authors and they all have one thing in common. They only work for a certain type of person. They don’t work for everybody. Why do you think that is?

Beyond blood type, beyond metabolic type, beyond Pitta-Kapha-Vata, beyond the 5 Chinese elements; we have body chemistry. There are no two people on the face of this earth with exactly the same chemistry make-up. Just like no two people on this earth with exactly the same DNA. By sequencing the DNA from various people, scientists have found 15 million single nucleotide polymorphisms, 1 million short insertions and deletions, and 20,000 structural variants (The 1000 Genomes Project Consortium). Assuming each of these sites of variation has only two alleles and that none are synthetically lethal, this puts an estimate of the possible combinations from randomly assorting these variants at 2^(1.6×10^6) or 10^480000.

Take Your Own Chemistry & Formulate Your Own Healthy Living Plan

In our Olympic Health program, we teach you how to use a fresh sample of your own urine and saliva to formulate a health plan based on your own uniqueness. What is right for you to eat probably won’t be right for a brother or sister, mother or father. Because of the differences in DNA, there are differences in the individual dietary and mineralization needs of each and every one of you.  You can’t eat like anyone else and expect to get the same results as them. It just doesn’t work that way. Now, if you eat the typical Twinkie and coke diet, something is going to break down in your body. You know you’re going to end up sick someday, maybe you just hope it won’t be soon. But you know, without question, that trying to live off that junk is going to kill you. What you don’t know is which system of your body is going to break down first. Maybe you’ll end up with heart disease, maybe Diabetes or even cancer. Without the mineral energy necessary for proper functioning of the body and water to take out the garbage, whatever part of your body is genetically weakest is going to succumb first to disease.

Wealth, Prestige, Confidence, Love and Time Are Yours for the Taking

Olympic Health and the benefits are yours for the taking. If you live in the United States, you have access to the training and the equipment necessary to take control of your own health; Olympic Health! So, why don’t you take control of your own health? What is stopping you from changing your life?

A quick interview about GMO, Glyphosate, RoundUp….And the issues they can cause.

GMOs and Diseases Exclusive Interview with Jeffrey Smith by Dr. Pompa on Genetically Modified Organisms.
New information is always being uncovered about the dangers of GMO foods and the RoundUp they were designed for. Not only is it obvious that RoundUp and Glyphosate (the main herbicide in RoundUp) are involved in GMO foods, but you will also find grains full of glyphosate. I know it’s more expensive to buy 100% organic, but you can’t avoid Monsanto’s products unless you do. Which is more expensive, health or sickness? In order to maintain health we have to band together and start using only 100% organic or herbicide-free food!

What Your pH Says About You–Alkaline/Alkaline

pH Paper

Urine/Saliva pH Test Paper

Alkaline/Alkaline

With the urine and saliva both above 6.5 it shows the urine, saliva, & average to be alkaline.  This arrangement will mean that the person is in a biochemical pattern for constipation. The system is overloaded with toxins from the usual metabolic wastes of cell function and also from the bowel reabsorbing putrefactive chemicals due to the fecal matter remaining in the system too long.  The presence of parasites is very likely in this range, since free room and board is being provided. This pH configuration will aggravate deterioration of disks, especially those in the back.  Deterioration of cartilage tissue is also aggravated.  Upper respiratory and sinus congestion will be aggravated, as will lymph congestion.   This type of person may be prone to lung infections.  In the years when tuberculosis was  a problem, this type of chemistry would have made this person very likely to come down with the disease.  Body odors, from breath to feet to bowel gas, will be symptoms related to this pattern.  Anatomically, this type of person would have an abdomen that would become more distended with age (other reasons also play into this).  In later life, there is a tendency to be overweight.  There is often a problem with skin pigmentation, because this pattern usually means that vitamin D is ratioed in the direction of excess.  An anionic pH will increase the production of melanin, or skin pigment, causing more energy to be absorbed from the sun, resulting in greater vitamin D production.  Blood pressure can be affected. Various types of skin tumors and lesions, boils and cysts may develop.  Tooth decay can be excessive, especially when the overall diet has been poor.  Women may complain of cracking, splitting, and ridged fingernails.  Women’s menstrual cycles can become very uncomfortable, with excessive hemorrhage and/or cramping, because of the body trying to use the uterus as a point of dumping toxins from other areas of the body.  PMS is a potential in this configuration.  The right side of the body will be the weak side, which means that this person will have a strong tendency for developing curvature of the spine to the left, as the body pulls toward the strong side.  Of course, this depends on how long this pattern has been in existence.  You may not realize it, but a person with this anionic pH pattern will have a tendency to cross the left leg over the right when sitting or favor standing on the left leg (strong side) while standing for long periods of time.  From a chiropractic standpoint, the left leg will tend to be shorter than the right, unless the person prefers sleeping on the strong side (left).  In that situation the spine will have an “S” curve configuration, meaning that the right hip will be higher than the usual strong side.  Vitamin C is very lacking in the system; and, in this situation, high levels of vitamin C can be used to provide extra cations in the diet to help lower the pH.  Mega doses of vitamin C may be used in this pattern, depending on how strongly anionic the pH, but, remember,  when the body is forced to change pH ranges without the understanding of how mineral energy, especially calciums, fit into the picture, the body will not respond consistently.  The excess vitamin C may result in aggravating excessive gas and/or diarrhea.

Don’t Buy Into BG12, It’s a Chemical Fake

BG12 Approved by the FDA!

BG12 is basically a chemical Knockoff of Protandim.  In a clinical study doing a comparison between “The Real Thing” and the Knockoff, Protandim won hands down.

So, if Protandim won, why would the pharmaceuticals keep attempting to get their drug approved?  Money of course. Protandim retails at $50 a bottle. 1 bottle lasts 1 person 1 month. At retail, Protandim will only cost $600.00 a year for someone with Multiple Sclerosis.  The BG12 that just got approved by the FDA for use with Multiple Sclerosis is projected to cost $50,000.00 a year, the side effects are free!

BG-12, tBHQ, SFN and protandim are well-tolerated and strongly induce Nrf2-driven antioxidant enzyme production in oligodendrocytes, with protandim showing the most potent induction.

See the original document here: http://registration.akm.ch/einsicht.php?XNABSTRACT_ID=137548&XNSPRACHE_ID=2&XNKONGRESS_ID=150&XNMASKEN_ID=900

With Protandim, there are no side effects, no known drug interactions and no real limits to the possibilities of what it could do for you.  The University of Colorado performed a human clinical trial published in 2006 that proved Protandim works in 100% of people to reduce their oxidative stress markers by an average of 40% in just 30 days. That wasn’t just some people, it was ALL people.

If MS is an issue for you, perhaps you should consider Protandim. Take the Amsterdam study to your Doctor and ask him why he would rather use a chemical when he could use a clinically proven herbal supplement that has no negative effects. He might just try it.

Take a natural approach to overcoming your MS symptoms. Sign up for a Health Evaluation with me, Coach Debbie, and lets see if Protandim may be right for you.  I offer a 6-month Healthier Habits coaching program to help you succeed in overcoming your obstacles. Taboo Foods

Taboo and Use Sparingly Foods List

  1. PROCESSED ORIENTAL TEAS-such as Lipton, Nestea, Earl of Gray, Orange Pekoe, etc.  Substitute with herbal teas (chamomile, mint, cinnamon, etc.) instead.  Dr. Reams says that more damage has been done to human health by consuming processed oriental teas than all the food preservatives ever used.
  2. WHITE FLOUR products, because what mineral they had, has been refined out.
  3. WHITE POTATOES (Idaho, Russet, Maine, etc.) should be limited to once per month. White Potatoes have no real mineral reserve to offer and they spike blood sugar very quickly in most people.  If it weren’t for the toppings, butter & sour cream etc., they have very little flavor as well. Stick with the colored potatoes in general.
  4. WHITE RICE and anything made from it.  Use whole grain or parboiled rice instead.  If white rice must be used, Uncle Ben’s Converted Rice is the style of choice. Add a 1/2 tsp. of black strap molasses to add to the mineral content.
  5. HOMOGENIZED MILK, because the body cannot pick up the calcium as easily when the fat is forced around the milk molecule.  There is a lot of debate about milk and milk products all over the place.  Milk is a fine food for a weak digestion as long as the fat is skimmed off of it and it comes from healthy sources. 6 oz. a day of good milk never hurt nobody.  It also offers a good source of calcium phosphate.
  6. COFFEE, because it upsets the stomach, unnaturally stimulates the adrenal and related glands, aggravates high blood pressure, over-stimulates the heart, and interferes with the natural biorhythm of the body. One cup per day of very weak coffee is acceptable for most people 30 years old or older since it works as a diuretic, but it can be problematic for those with low sugars.  Heavy coffee drinkers (more than 12 cups per day) should taper off slowly for several days until reaching the one cup per day allotment or it can be eliminated altogether if there is no special need for it.
  7. SEA SALT (all brands!).  This is the saltiest of salts and will cause the conductivity to go too high.  Sea Salt is known to be the #1 cause of xerostomia in the RBTI world.
  8. TABLE SALT  Use Lowery’s MSG Free Seasoning Salt instead and use it sparingly.  Depending on your salt level, you may be able to use more salt than the next guy.  Go by the numbers!
  9. WHITE SUGAR and anything made from it including candy, cookies, cakes, cereals, ice cream, etc.  The human body can safely metabolize and utilize 2 lb of white sugar per year.  Since white sugar of some sort is hidden in all kinds of processed food, it is better to just avoid using it as much as possible.  There are many other kinds of sweeteners available to choose from and variety is key to a long, happy, healthy life!
  10. COCOA / CHOCOLATE tends to constrict the kidneys & contains caffeine that is too stimulating for most chemistries. Carob may be substituted safely in some chemistries, but not for others. Carob may tend to plug up already constricted kidneys.
  11. BLACK PEPPER & NUTMEG are irritating to the colon.  No matter how fine the black pepper & nutmeg are ground, the edges of each particle remain sharp and will “cut” the intestinal wall on their way through. Someone that has a very healthy colon will not tend to be aggravated by this sharp cutting action.
  12. NUTS & NUT BUTTERS.  Go easy on these.  Although they are high in mineral, most people have difficulty digesting them.  Making nut milks is, however, an acceptable way of using nuts in one’s diet.  Also, boiling nuts, so that they become very soft, is another way that makes them acceptable.  Boiling them is a way of predigesting them so your digestion doesn’t become stressed and overworked.
  13. CHEESE – We were taught to use cheese “to taste.”  Cheese is a heavy food and difficult to digest for many people.  It also contains a lot of fat.  It is suggested that no more than 1/2 ounce per 25 pounds of body weight per WEEK be consumed. Example: A person weighs 150 pounds – 150 / 25 = 6 x 1/2 = 3 ounces of cheese per WEEK.  It is best to use a hard cheese such as cheddar which has been aged at least one year.  If you have a high urine pH, it is best to avoid cheese altogether since it is constipating and slows the system even more.
  14. WHEAT BREAD – Dr. Reams said the more bread one eats per day the less mineral one will get from the other foods eaten.  It is easy to fill up on bread because it is easy to use and tastes good.  But when you do this, you miss out on valuable minerals and enzymes available from other food sources. I suggested half a slice of bread per day for every 50 pounds of body weight.  Toast it if possible for the best digestibility.  If eating other wheat-based foods for breakfast, such as pancakes, muffins, bagels, etc. make sure you calculate these into your daily allotment of bread for the day.
  15. ALL RAW FOODS are too cleansing on the system and are harder to digest than cooked foods.  Foods cooked in a healthy way are predigested for your system and will therefore give up their minerals easier.  Have a raw salad before lunch & dinner, a few pieces of raw food as decorations on your plate, and some raw fruit first thing in the morning.  As your body becomes healthier, your digestive system will become stronger and you will be able to increase your raw food intake accordingly.
  16. UNCLEAN MEATS: (any animal that does not have a cloven hoof & chew it’s cud): rattlesnake, opossum, rabbit, bear, pork, etc., or any of its products: ham, ribs, bacon, sausage, chops, jowls, cracklings, chitterlings, or anything that contains the fat or lard, including processed pies, cakes, and pastries.  UNCLEAN SEAFOODS (fish or crustacean animals that have neither fins or scales): catfish, shrimp, lobster, frogs, turtle, snake, eel, lizard, catfish, tuna, etc.  UNCLEAN BIRDS & INSECTS (as listed in the Bible).  The unclean foods, not matter which one, release their energy too quickly in the body.  In essence they cause you to grow old too fast.  Anyone utilizing the U/S A will notice a loss of energy anytime one of these foods are eaten.  This loss of energy takes 7 days to return to normal.

Health IS a Lifestyle

As you begin removing these foods from your diet a whole new view of life will begin to form.  You will notice more energy, more joy, more time in the day, less digestive difficulties, less pain, less headaches.  Your lifestyle will begin to follow your healthier choices in food.

Eczema & Psoriasis from an Ayurvedic Perspective

Ayurveda & Skin Diseases

By Dr Partap Chauhan

The months of July and August represent the varsha ritu or the rainy season. According to Ayurveda, this is the time for pitta aggravation. All the heat that accumulates in the body in the greesham ritu (summer season) is aggravated in the rainy season. There are a number of skin diseases prevalent in the rainy season. Especially in India, this is the time when one can see big crowds in skin clinics. A simple knowledge of Ayurveda can help us prevent and even treat painful skin disorders.

According to Ayurveda, the skin has six layers,

located not only superficially but extending to the deeper levels of the body. A skin disease is, mostly, rooted deeply into various dhatus or tissues like fat, muscles, blood etc. Most skin treatments are generally external applications like creams or oils. These, however, never reach the deeper layers of the skin. As a result, the symptoms disappear temporarily, and the disease is not rooted out permanently. Ayurveda always tries to root out the disease by treating it specifically according to its cause. As the disease is deep-seated it is difficult to fix the problem quickly. Ayurvedic skin treatments may take a few weeks to remove the symptoms but the diseases are treated permanently.

Causes of skin diseases

Two of the main causes of diseases in Ayurveda are a wrong diet and lifestyle, which an individual follows either knowingly or unknowingly. Following a diet or life style that is against the season or the prakriti (nature) of a person, creates an imbalance in bodily energies, thus contaminating the body tissues to produce a skin disease. In Ayurvedic terms, although skin diseases are caused due to imbalances in all the three doshas, the prime dosha involved is pitta. Pitta symbolizes heat or fire. Therefore all those foods or activities that increase the fire element in the body should be eliminated. This includes hot, spicy, fried, oily and greasy foods. Acidic foods like tomatoes, citrus fruits, yogurt and vinegar should be avoided. Exposure to heat and sun, drinking too much tea, coffee, and alcohol, and smoking also aggravate the pitta.

Remedies for skin diseases

Removing the root cause is the main line of treatment in Ayurveda. Therefore eliminating all the foods and activities that increase pitta is the main treatment. Here are some general remedies for all kinds of skin diseases.

  • Prepare a powder by mixing equal quantities of turmeric, Amla, and Neem leaves. One teaspoonful of this powder can be taken twice a day with water. In case Amla and Neem are not available, only turmeric powder can be used in the dosage of half a teaspoonful twice a day with water.
  • If Neem leaves are available, boil them in water everyday and wash the affected area. Soaps and shampoos should not be used on the affected area.
  • Take 50 grams of powdered yellow sulphur and mix it with 250 ml. of mustard oil or coconut oil. Apply this mixture to the affected area everyday in the morning and wash after half an hour. It is better to sit in the sun or in a hot place after applying this oil.
  • If purified sulphur (certified good for internal use) is available, it can be taken in the doses of 1-2 grams twice a day with water.
  • Take 100 ml. of coconut oil and add 5 grams of powdered camphor to it. Put this mixture in a glass bottle and screw the cap on tightly. Put the bottle in sunlight for two hours. Applying this mixture on the affected area is helpful.
  • Taking soft or mild laxatives to clear the bowels is also beneficial in the treatment of skin diseases. A teaspoonful of Triphala powder can be taken at bed time every night, with warm water or milk. Any other natural laxative such as prunes, figs and raisins can also be taken.
  • Fresh juice of apricot leaves may be applied on affected parts of the body. It gives relief in eczema and scabies.
  • Wheat grass juice is also beneficial in skin diseases as it boosts the immune system, which helps to fight the disease.
  • The patient should get as much fresh air as possible. Restrictive and tight clothing should not be worn. The patient should drink 3-4 litres of water everyday.
  • Aloe Vera is also beneficial for skin diseases as it purifies the blood. Fresh aloe vera gel can be taken in the dose of two or three tablespoonfuls on an empty stomach everyday.

One should avoid:

tea, coffee, alcohol, hot spices, fried foods, acidic and sour foods. White sugar, white flour products and preserved or tinned foods should also be avoided. Consumption of meat, especially red meat, should be minimized.

Following these simple remedies and dietary tips can relieve even the most irritating skin problems. Thousands of patients suffering from chronic and irritating skin disorders have received relief through Ayurvedic remedies. Jiva Ayurvedic Research Institute has also formulated a combination of Ayurvedic tablets, tea and powder to treat skin disorders. It is called the Jiva Sattva Skin Disease Healthcare Pack. In addition Jiva Ayuniqe Clinic offers personalized Ayunique packs for treating various diseases.
